Your genetic makeup can play a role in how certain medications work for you. For example, your body may break down a medication too slowly or too quickly, which may result in side effects, or no effect at all.
Getting a pharmacogenomic test may help your doctor make more informed medication decisions for you, which may lead to fewer side effects and less trial and error to find the right medication.
